Music Is Everywhere
We take for granted the sheer abundance of music available at virtually any given moment.
Every day, and in almost every part of the day, we are all surrounded by music.
Whether we intentionally seek to listen to music or not we are constantly surrounded by all varieties of music.
For example every time you hop into a car the radio turns on,
every time you watch a movie songs or instruments are played in the background,
and even when you get in an elevator music is played.
Can you imagine living in a world without music? The very thought of this makes me shudder. Although I am not competent in playing any instrument the notion that we could be in a world that has been distanced to the vibrations in the air which we interpret to be music is an extremely saddening thought. Life would be so boring as even the little things such as watching TV would not include the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) musical tones which can set the mood.
Don't believe me?
Try watching the cartoon in the link on mute then again not on mute and see for yourself the real difference that music can make.

So next time you jump in a car, watch some TV or even get in an elevator be appreciative of every sound. Even though these may seem insignificant without them life would quickly become pretty darn boring!!!
